Healthy Salmon Recipe

Salmon is full or healthy fats. Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and vitamin A.  It is also a great source of vitamin B’s, selenium, and protein. Recent studies have found that salmon may provide support for insulin sensitivity and control inflammation in the gut.  Inflammation is at the root of all disease processes, including heart disease.  I try and avoid Atlantic salmon, preferring wild salmon.

Healthy Salmon Recipe

Salmon With Garlic, Capsicum & Mixed Italian Herbs

2 wild salmon steaks

1 capsicum, de-seeded and sliced

5 garlic cloves, crushed or left whole

1 heaped tsp of mixed Italian herbs

Olive oil

Method

Put the healthy salmon in baking dish.

Sprinkle with rest of ingredients and bake in the oven at 190 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes.

Most noteworthy is to increase the garlic.  This will give your body more of the health benefits of garlic.
